Glider Chronicles of the Gatekeeper p.15 A Sathari can fall safely from any height and can glide over small gaps or distances while falling. While conscious, a Sathari character does not suffer damage from falling.

Background

Quan grew up on the planet Arbooine (native planet to the Sathari). As he got older, he was offered a job opportunity on Corellia to deliver goods and mail to other systems. This was very strange, as Sathari aren't a typical pilot choice. There was a Corellian recruiter named Basalthar Cardon that had to recruit someone from Arbooine as a bet and ended up hiring Quan to come and train with their school. Basalthar got lots of money from that bet. Of course he had to take Piloting Lessons, but he quickly rose up to the top of his class. He had opportunities to fly many different ships, from the CSS-1 Corellian Star Shuttle, (on one lucky occasion) once an X-Wing, (it had to be quick) and even once a B-Wing (that was just a lucky opportunity). Another time he stole a TIE Fighter (look, it's not his fault they left it there. Plus it's not like they noticed--he returned it quickly). The typical ship he flew was the Action-IV Bulk Freighter. During this time, he was given his "Quicktrigger" blaster. As he frequently had busy hands, he had the Corellian Arms Model 2 Wrist Mount installed on it for easier protection. As he went along in his career, he was later awarded with a remodel of his blaster for a custom Wrist Mount (well, grip, but you can't really grip it when it's a wrist mount). After a couple years piloting said freighters, he was given the opportunity to join the Rebellion, when he was allowed the opportunity to fly the B-Wing. Because of his extensive experience, he was quickly allowed to fly the B-Wing on a regular basis. It should be noted that he has been suspended a couple times from flying due to "reckless behavior in combat." (A.K.A. barrel rolling for a very long time and crashing into the opposing fighters instead of shooting them down. Apparently "it's a bad example and bad use of resources to waste your shields crashing into TIE Fighters because now everyone else will.") Only reason he hasn't been demoted or fired is because he possesses exceptional targeting and evasive skill (it's really hard to hit a B-Wing that's spinning... like, really, really hard). Also, when you can barrel roll in a rotating cockpit, why not do it? You don't get dizzy and look really cool doing it.

Motivation

Prospects of blowing things up... or barrel rolling. It's really hard to stop once you start... also cool new stuff that isn't his.

Help the Rebellion, owes money to 8FM-6, owes Baslathar Cardon for his job, he is in high contact with his family.

Description

Other Notes

He's friends with a couple of other pilots in his training program, namely Sion Elnes (human), Nej Pavond (Chadra-Fan), and
Iakar Kesyk (Xexto). They have been close since the early days of training and have frequently worked a crew together on large freighters.
He has few enemies, but the few he has are very against him. One was made also through the flight training program. His name is Jafan Minne. He is an enemy primarily because Quan received a piloting opportunity that Jafan had wanted for a very long time, and Jafan's anger slowly grew over the years as Quan did more and more. Another enemy is Syala Kilian. She is an enemy because there was one time that Quan's ship was held up at a planet when they had a priority delivery, but the delivery ended up taking much longer than it should have, and her company nearly went out of business because of the lack of that package. Another enemy he has is 8FM-6. Let's just say that... well... he made the poor pilot droid mad by insisting that he could control a freighter better and quicker. However, it did not end well and he left a pretty large scratch on 8FM-6's ship... which may or may not have been paid for... Anyways, his last noticeable enemy is a bounty hunter named Cran Daren. Quan accidentally delivered an item to the wrong place instead of to Cran, and Cran was desperate for that package. Quan got it to where he needed to, and even though it was only a couple weeks late, Cran Daren has decided that he was not a fan of Quan.
