Background

Tarrik was a warrior/enforcer for his tribe on the moon of Endor. It was his job to keep the tribe safe. So it was that when a group of outsiders were seen near the village, it fell to Tarrik to investigate and keep watch on them. Tarrik has never seen such beings before, nor had he seen such technology. After several days of observation, he decided to approach the outsiders. They seemed genuinely pleased with his presence, and made every effort to be friendly. They plied him with food and alcohol. After several days he decided to lead them to his village in order to return the hospitality.

Shortly after arriving at Tarrik's village, everything changed. The foreigners threw off their facade and revealed their true intentions. Out came the stunners and shock prods. Tarrik's village was quickly subdued, and many of the adults were rounded up and loaded into the outsiders' flying craft and secured in cages. The next thing Tarrik new, they were being unloaded in a strange location, and apparently sold to a different outsider that Tarrik would later find out was a Sullustan.

Unbeknownst to Tarrik, he and his fellow Ewoks had been taken to Abafar to be turned into Ewok Jerky, a popular local dish. Tarrik watched in horror as the Ewoks were taken out one by one, slaughtered, and processed into lumps of meat to be smoked. When his turn came (last), Tarrik resolved not to become food for the savages that he found himself surrounded by. The butchers were not prepared for the ferocity of the little Ewok, and Tarrik was able to kill two of them and make his escape.

Since this horrific experience, Tarrik has been trying to return home. Without knowing who he can trust, and no one seeming to know where he is from, it has not yet been possible. Tarrik has picked up a base understanding of Basic, and can even speak a little, though haltingly. Tarrik's main goal in returning home is to collect more Ewoks and return the treatment he received in kind. He lusts to hunt and eat those that cross him, and share the bounty with his fellow Ewoks.

Motivation

Revenge: The character is driven by one of the oldest and most primal causes in the Galaxy—the desire to avenge some real or perceived wrong the character has suffered. The character’s hunger for vengeance may be justified or not, but it is a cold, heartless master that can drive the character to obsession.

Obligations

A score to settle: ( ??? obligation) The character has always been rough-and-tumble, but somewhere along the way someone wronged him, and he never forgets a debt, real or imagined This could be as simple as someone promising him backup who then disappeared or someone bad-mouthing him in front of a prospective client Now, the character is always looking for ways to even the score.

Betrayal: (10 obligation) This Obligation can work in one of two ways: either the character is the target of a deep and personal betrayal, or the character is the one who betrayed others. Whether it's as simple as a betrayed confidence or broken promise or as serious as treason or mutiny, the betrayal eats away at the character and affects his everyday life. The target of the betrayal may seek answers, compensation, or simply revenge.

Description

Other Notes

Low-Tech Users: Ewoks upgrade the difficulty of any checks involving advanced technology not available on their home planet once. If an Ewok uses a particular piece of advanced technology for an extended period of time, they may become familiar with it and may be exempt from this rule when using that piece of technology (at the GM’s discretion). In addition, with their GM’s approval, a player with an Ewok character may spend 10 XP to remove this disadvantage from their character.
