1.) The last son of a wandering tribe of Force-users who worshipped aspects of nature, Mantle solitarily carries his people's culture forward. He grew up in a hidden society bordering the Unknown Regions where the natural powers of the Force flowed freely.

2.) Traveling from world to world exploring the galaxy's natural wonders, Mantle has encountered the abuse and destruction of nature by overpopulation and industry. Once, when witnessing the slaughter of a thranta for sport, Mantle came disastrously close to murder.

3.) Mantle's joining of the NJO came purely by the will of the Force. In that dark moment before murder, a traveling Jedi intervened and thus began his new journey with new teachers and friends.

4.) He maintains a close relationship with his father.

5.) His moral strength was demonstrated when he was able to preserve his people's sacred waterfall cave from a team of violent, credit-hungry archaeologists. The cave's walls are host to his people's entire history, and with trickery (and the help of many friendly creatures), Mantle was able to drive them off world for good.
