Background

Lady Miran is a noble — a baroness, specifically — from the ancient family of House Ukkre.

HOUSE UKKRE
House Ukkre, one of the historical hereditary Elder Houses that rose to prominence nearly thirty thousand years ago in the early days of the Republic, is now known more for hyperspace exploration than its aristocratic roots. The noble house hails from Devaron, homeworld of the matriarchal Devaronians and one of the first planetary governments to join the Republic. Located in the Colonies region, Devaron was one of the outermost planets in the Republic for millennia, placing it — and House Ukkre — in prime position to scout for hyperspace routes.

Today, House Ukkre competes with other hyperspace prospecting dynasties, including the San Tekkas and the Grafs, to chart new trade lanes and discover new avenues for Republic expansion.

LADY MIRAN UKKRE
Like all of those in her bloodline, Miran was tutored in the science of astrogation. She was raised watching holo-vids about the wonders of space exploration and told that her place — at least while she's young — would be out among the stars, contributing to her family's trade of mapping of the cosmos.

Unlike most in her family, though, Miran never really wanted to be a hyperspace scout. She enjoyed the pampered life of aristocracy and spent more time as a socialite than crisscrossing the void. This often put her at odds with her family matriarch, ultimately leading to confrontation.

Rumors persist in well-connected upper-class circles that Lady Miran has been ostracized from House Ukkre, that her titles have been stripped and that she's been cut off. Lady Miran is tight lipped on the matter, but if pressed will insist otherwise with a disarming smile. After all, how could such a dreadful thing happen to such a charming woman?

She now plies the trade spurs and space lanes, leveraging her social graces and offering her skills as a navigator to the highest bidders.

Lady Miran refuses to discuss private family matters, but seems awfully conflicted by her relationship to her noble clan. Whether it's to improve the station of her House or to earn reconciliation after her rumored exile, she works hard to further the Ukkre name in any way she can.
