*A concealed escape kit upgrades the ability of all Mechanics and Skulduggery checks made to escape confinement once. The laser cutter works for a single round before its energy cell burns out, usually just enough time to destroy a mechanical lock or cut a metal bar. The monoknife has the following profile: (Melee; Damage +1; Critical 3; Range [Engaged]; Pierce 1). Characters upgrade the difficulty of checks to detect a concealed escape kit twice.

**Surveillance scanners have a range of close on the planetary scale or long on the personal scale. Using a surveillance scanner upgrades the ability of any checks made to locate bugs, sweep rooms for hidden cameras, pick up data streams, or engage in any other counter-surveillance activities once.

Description
Once per game session as an incidental, the character may spend 2 Destiny Points to change the face of one positive die in the character’s dice pool to another face adjacent to it. An “adjacent” face is any die face sharing an edge – not a point – with the rolled face. Unmatched Fortune cannot be used on a force die.
Upgrade Effect
Shared Luck Unmatched Fortune can also be used on the dice pool of a willing ally within short range.
Increased Number Unmatched Fortune affects two additional dice per Increase Number upgrade purchased.
Destiny Unmatched Fortune costs 1 Destiny Point instead of 2.
Frequency Unmatched Fortune can be used two additional time each game session per Frequency upgrade purchased.
Increased Effect Unmatched Fortune can also be used on negative dice.
