Sydri Krestin was born in 38 BBY, growing up through Vardos's golden era. Sydri grew up in a small yet moderately wealthy and influential noble family in an environment where social standing was paramount to your success. He lost his parents to an assassination attack by separatist assassins, and is highly protective of his 4 younger siblings. Nonetheless, the Krestin family ties to Garrick Versio granted him a fast track to becoming a Republic Army Officer responsible for the protection of Vardos at the age of 16. He quickly became an important intelligence asset to Versio, and as one of Versio's most trusted intelligence officers, rooted out resistance and helped propel Vardos into becoming the Imperial powerhouse it is.

After being folded into the Imperial Military, being one of Garrick Versio's intelligence protege's, Krestin was gifted a seat at the newly formed Imperial Security Bureau where he was responsible for a handful of outer rim systems. Despite having had his entire career handed to him on a silver platter, Krestin is a highly motivated, highly disciplined and highly devoted imperial machine that is willing to die for the vows he took upon joining the Imperial Security Bureau.

Dutybound: The PC has a deep sense of duty that he feels compelled to fulfill, such as military service, making good on a contract, or following some sort of thieves' code. Unlike the Oath Obligation (see below), a Dutybound character has some legal or ritualistic bind to an organization or cause making it extremely difficult or detrimental if he fails to live up to that commitment.

Family: The character has deep ties with his family that require a great deal of time and attention. This could include providing care for or assistance to siblings or parents, the management of an inheritance, trust, or family business, or simply mediating between squabbling family members.

After seeing first hand the destruction separatism caused upon his family and homeworld, Krestin feels honorbound to protect the values the empire and bring order to the galaxy.

Following the death of his parents at the age of 8, Krestin spent nearly a decade raising his siblings and acting as the figurehead of the Krestin household. His sister (Anna Krestin) was left immobile by the assassination, and Sydri spends a great deal of time caring for her.
