Description
The character may attempt to guide, shape, and even twist the thoughts and feelings of others.
Special Rule: When guiding and shaping thoughts, only force dice generated from dark side points may be used to generate negative emotions such as rage, fear, and hatred. Only lightside points can be used to generate positive emotions such as peace, tranquility, and friendliness. Other emotions such as confusion can be created from either type.
The character may spend Force points to stress the mind of one living target he is engaged with, inflicting 1 strain.

Effect
Control
The Force user may make an opposed Discipline vs. Discipline check combined with an Influence power check. If the user spends Force Points (Light or Dark) and succeeds on the check, he can force the target to adopt an emotional state or believe something untrue, lasting for 1 round or 5 minutes.
Strength
When stressing the mind of a target, the character inflicts 2 strain.
Magnitude
Spend 1 Force Point to increase targets affected equal to Magnitude upgrades purchased.
Control
When making a Coercion, Charm, Deception, Leadership, or Negotiation check, the Force user may roll an Influence Power check as part of his dice pool. He may spend Force Points to gain Successes or Advantages (user’s choice) on the check.
Background
From the notes of Jedi Master Rekkan Thrace:
Potential Candidate #8:
Name: Brinan Danner
Species: Human
Homeworld: Coruscant
Mannerisms:
Brinan is an exhausting child. Thoroughly confident in his burgeoning abilities, he appears to have a boundless and willful energy, always attempting to take charge of the activities I give him. His excited nature is endearing, though, and he shows a remarkable fearlessness. I find even myself swayed at times by his bravado: when queried to accompany me on what I’d said was an important and dangerous mission, he grinned and asked, “Do I get a lifesaver?” He wants at all times to see my lightsaber. However, Brin has clearly grown up with barbaric misconceptions of the Jedi (probably due to his father’s wild and somewhat egregious war tales), and that will have to be rectified. But I believe his social deftness and innate sense of justice should temper him toward the true purpose of our order in time.
Background:
Brinan’s mother, Inara, is an old friend, and she had initially hesitated in contacting me after first witnessing Brin’s sensitivity. She and her husband had evidently wanted other things for their only son—likely in the political sphere—than to be “banished” (her words) to such a life as this. But I insisted upon seeing the boy, and have decided that he is ready to begin training. I will attempt to convince them of the important role Brinan will play in galactic dealings, that their hopes for their son will not be wasted. If that fails, there are other avenues that I can explore.
Motivation
GEAR TO BUY:
- Lecter's Outfit
Morality
Current Morality: 44
Sith: 30 or lower
Paragon: 70 or higher
Pride:
Pride can be a powerful emotion and can
push a character to impressive feats of personal accomplishment. He strives to be the best and to take pleasure in his skills.
Arrogance: Pride, among all emotions, is perhaps the easiest to fall to a darker form. Arrogance mirrors pride, but satisfaction in one’s accomplishments is replaced with contempt for others’ failings. It is not enough to succeed; the character also expects all others to fail.
