Background
K-4I9 was stationed in the Outer Rim as a security droid, patrolling part of the military areas of the Grand Moff's rule in the Outer Rim. After the Grand Moff decided that a more specialist group was required to deal with its problems with the Rebellion, K-4I9 was extensively repaired, improved upon, and programmed by the best scientists the Grand Moff had to be a mechanics and engineering specialist for this group.
