Background

Backstory:
Born into the relentless sprawl of a Balosar mega-city planet, your character grew up beneath the neon glow of the upper towers—towers that only served as a constant reminder of a life she would never have. She lived in the gutters, in back alleys where the air was thick with smog and desperation. The planet's powerful corporations used the lower city as a dumping ground for waste, crime, and people, creating a melting pot of misery and opportunity for those with enough cunning to exploit it.

From a young age, she learned to survive by her wits. Stealing, cheating, and lying became second nature, but so did looking after those who couldn’t fend for themselves. The downtrodden were her people, her community. They were a fragile family of scavengers, exiles, and lost souls, and among them, she found her closest friends—and her first love.

Her world shattered one fateful evening. A drunken son of a corporate executive—one of the elite from the upper city—stumbled into her community, his ego emboldened by his untouchable status. The argument that followed was brief but brutal. He killed her closest friends and her love in cold blood over a trivial slight. She watched, helpless, as their bodies were tossed into a refuse ditch, discarded as though they were nothing. No one in authority cared. No justice came.

It was then she realized the truth: the galaxy wasn’t broken. It was rigged—designed to grind people like her under its heel.

The Dealer’s Rise:
Fueled by rage and a thirst for vengeance, she rebuilt herself. She became a smuggler, a gambler, a dealer of secrets. Her sharp tongue, seductive wit, and ruthless cunning helped her rise in the criminal underworld. She positioned herself as a fixer—a middlewoman who could "make problems disappear" for a price. Her shop, Crimson Coin, became a hub for illicit deals, repairs, and whispers of rebellion.

Her loyal droid, Ex.Change, was a scavenged relic she salvaged and reprogrammed into a shrewd but fiercely protective assistant. It keeps the business running when she’s away and serves as her eyes and ears, ensuring she stays one step ahead of her many enemies.

Over time, her name spread, and so did her influence. But as her star rose, so did the danger. Rivals and corporations alike began to take notice, seeking to either bring her into the fold or erase her entirely. She welcomed the danger—it meant she was closer to her ultimate goal.

The Plan:
Her hatred for the company responsible for her friends’ deaths burns as brightly as ever. Slowly but surely, she’s been dismantling their operations. A shipment "lost" here, a key executive’s secret leaked there—each move calculated to destabilize and humiliate them. She’s ruthless, and she doesn’t care who gets caught in the crossfire. She sees herself as a force of justice, punishing the guilty, but her methods are often excessive and leave collateral damage.

The only person she truly cares for is Kelu Mus, a young Arkanian who reminds her of her lost sister. Kelu is the one tether to her humanity, the one weakness in an otherwise impenetrable armor of spite and manipulation. She would sacrifice anything to protect Kelu—even if it means putting her long-term plans on hold.

Force Awakening:
Unbeknownst to most, she’s Force-sensitive, though her abilities remain largely dormant. They manifest subtly—an unnatural talent for reading people, for influencing them with her words and presence. In moments of extreme emotion, the Force flares within her, though she often mistakes it for adrenaline or sheer willpower.

The Force calls to her, though she doesn’t yet understand it. Whether she will embrace it as a path to redemption or as a tool to exact her revenge remains to be seen.

Tone and Themes:
Revenge and Corruption: Her vendetta against the corporation mirrors her own descent into moral ambiguity. How far is too far, even in the name of justice?
Darkness and Redemption: Her Force sensitivity presents an opportunity for her to face her own darkness. Will she rise above her pain, or will it consume her completely?
Family and Betrayal: Her loyalty to Kelu Mus is both her strength and her weakness. Rivals may exploit it, and she may one day have to choose between her revenge and Kelu's safety.

Motivation

Her motivations are rooted in a deep, seething desire for vengeance against the corporate elite who shattered her world. The death of her closest friends and her love—coldly executed by the untouchable son of a high-ranking executive—left scars that never healed. She is driven by an unrelenting need to see the company that protected him fall into ruin, not just for justice, but to satisfy her own vindictive hunger. Beyond revenge, she harbors a fierce, albeit selective, loyalty to the downtrodden of her community. To her, the system is a game rigged against the powerless, and she’ll exploit, manipulate, and destroy anyone she deems guilty to tip the scales—even if it means becoming a monster herself.

Obligations

Notoriety (25): If a Smuggler has the Notoriety Obligation, then they will be unable to travel incognito, as their face or name may be recognized This makes any jobs they take on harder, if not impossible, to complete. This Obligation is only likely to apply in certain sectors, and the extent of its influence determines the size of the Obligation. The Smuggler's own behavior might have caused this, or another party may have maliciously spread information about them. If the latter, the Obligation could be reduced by tracking down the person responsible and stopping them. if the former, the Smuggler may have to avoid the affected area long enough that the locals forget them, or they might significantly change their appearance or name to avoid recognition.

Description

She has a commanding presence with sharp, angular facial features framed by a sleek, asymmetrical haircut that adds to her edgy appearance. Her hair is dark and glossy, with subtle streaks of neon color running through it, reflecting the high-tech world she inhabits.

Her piercing eyes are illuminated by a faint glow, possibly enhanced with cybernetic implants, giving her a predatory, calculating gaze. Her outfit is functional yet stylish, a mix of tactical gear and urban fashion, blending leather, metallic accents, and futuristic fabrics. A high-collared jacket, adorned with glowing circuitry and intricate patterns, suggests a tech-savvy, resourceful personality.

Her posture and the faint smirk on her lips convey confidence, cunning, and a willingness to take risks. She carries herself like someone who has seen the worst the galaxy has to offer and survived, embracing her scars as part of her identity. At her waist, various pouches, gadgets, or weapons are subtly displayed, hinting at her preparedness and her dangerous line of work. This is a woman who operates in the shadows but thrives in control, her appearance both alluring and intimidating.
