Background
Malek Defron was once a highly decorated sniper in the Imperial Army, known for his sharpshooting skills and his ability to take out high-value targets from long range. He spent decades serving the Empire, rising through the ranks and earning numerous medals and commendations along the way. However, as he got older, Malek began to question the morality of the Empire's actions, especially as he witnessed the suffering that the Empire's policies caused for ordinary people.
After retiring from the military, Malek became a fringer, using his skills and experience to explore the galaxy and help those in need. He's become something of a legend among certain circles, known for his ability to get the job done no matter how difficult the task. However, he's also haunted by the memories of his time in the military, and the loss of his wife has left him feeling adrift and alone.
Motivation
Obligations
Malek's obligation is tied to the loss of his wife, who was killed by Imperial forces during a protest against the Empire's treatment of non-human species. Malek blames himself for her death, feeling that he should have done more to protect her and prevent the tragedy from occurring. As a result, he feels a deep sense of guilt and responsibility, and he's willing to put himself in harm's way to help others in similar situations. This obligation could manifest in various ways, such as Malek feeling compelled to help those who are persecuted by the Empire, or feeling a need to take on risky missions in order to prove himself to his late wife.
