Background
After the Kaminoans accepted the Clone Army comission, a sect of scientists and clone breeding specialist were ordered, under the utmost secrecy, to Seoul, far and away from prying eyes. Within an Underground Cloning Facility, an experiment was conducted to test the viability of clones who were not rapidly aged. These 100 Troopers would then be trained from birth and reserved for if and when the time came to deploy reinforcements to a Desperate, Crumbling Republic.
These clones all seemed to posses certain mental "quirks" that while concerning, would prove valuable in creating specialized operators out of these clones. One of these clones was CG-0044, who would later be nicknamed "Wingnut" by his brethren.
Wingnut possessed a frightening lack of self-preservation instinct, yet still managed to prove that he could survive the chaos of the battlefield. He appeared to have the ability to feel fear, as demonstrated when The Control Group were placed in a simulation against B-3 Ultra Battle-Droids and Hostile Sith Operators. Wingnut showed little fear in the face of nigh-unbeatable odds, and persisted no matter the odds.
It quickly became clear that on top of his complete lack of fear, Wingnut had a tendency to chase thrills wherever he could. The Kaminoans initially were hesitant to allow him to pursue this need of his, but soon found that he performed better in mock battles when he was given the chance to risk himself over the rest of his team mates. Thus, his penchant for adrenaline was not simply overlooked, but encouraged. For when Wingnut's teammates needed him most, he was always ready to roll the dice with his own life to save others.
His fearlessness earned him Jet Trooper Permissions, allowing him to feed his need for adrenaline even further. He quickly mastered his own unique flight techniques, performing acrobatic stunts that even a Mandolorian wouldn't dare perform. Trial and Error earned him many, many wounds, ranging from scrapes and cuts to broken bones...but his risk often yielded great reward.
Once Order 66 was declared, The Control Group began to undergo Anti-Jedi Training, though some of them began to question why the sudden change occurred so quickly. When it became apparent that Clone Troopers would soon be a thing of the past, The Seoul Facility prepared to go to ground and evacuated the facility, assigning Wingnut to ensure it was scuttled. When Imperial Forces finally found The Seoul Facility, The Control Group and their Kaminoan handlers were long gone. Wingnut ambushed the 4 landing parties by rigging the entire complex to explode, and detonated the facility with all Imperial Planet Side Forces inside. After slipping away aboard a small shuttle craft, Wingnut began to carry out his last objective: Survive The Empire.
Motivation
Wanderlust / Novelty: Wingnut shares his brother Apollo's love of exploration, though doesn't quite take it to the same extreme. He often only stays in a place long enough for him to accomplish whatever goal he has there, and is quick to leave once all is said and done.
Obligations
Criminal: Technically being an illegal clone, Wingnut has been wanted for most of his life. Although now, he's wanted for serial arson and destruction of imperial property, murder, man-slaughter, theft, terrorism and one count of tax fraud. All of these crimes were comitted under differing aliases, leading the Empire to believe that he is not one clone, but 6 clones in a renegade clone gang. This puts him at odds with both The Empire, and Clones who are trying to lay low.
Family: Wingnut was raised alongside 100 other Slow-Grown Clones, but has really only come to know 10 of them; Hotwire, Dreamer, Notch, Sweep, Bulk, Blizzard, Apollo, Stag, Cliff, and Bulk. Each of them are specialists like him, and as far as Wingnut knows, they are the last remaining survivors of The Control Group. Wingnut hopes that he can find his brothers somewhere out there in the Galaxy, alive or even dead. Closure is all he seeks on this matter.
Addiction: Wingnut is thrill-seeker to a fault. His penchant for close shaves and pure adrenaline have often landed him in as much trouble as it has saved him. If there is a risk to be taken, Wingnut often finds himself unable to resist taking it, even when it comes at great cost to himself or those he travels with.
Description
Like all Clone Troopers, Wingnut is nearly identical to Jango Fett, although he is much younger. (late teens, early 20's) He has a ragged mohawk, and part of his right eyebrow is undergrown, due to an explosion burning off all the hair on his face. From that same explosion, he found a particular fondness for covering his face in soot as camouflage. He is very athletic, and sports a slightly smaller frame than most clones in order to take most of advantage of his Jetpack's full maneuverability, but also partly because of lack of consistent rations.
