Background

Due to being one of the rare cases of force sensitive Wookiees, Zaalbecca's sensitivity to the force wasn't noticed until his Hrrtayyk ceremony, or Test of Ascention. He was nearly twelve when he was sent down like all over of his tribe to brave the Shadowlands alone. Down in the darkness of the Shadowlands did his connection to the force seem to spark, giving him insight to danger and allowing his sight to be unimpeded by the environment. However it was also difficult, and when they found him at the end of the trial it was clear that the natural fury of his species was stronger in him due to his connection to the force.

Because of this they brought him to the Jedi, and though he was much older than the other younglings he was taken in to be trained, to harness that rage only in defense of his fellow children and padawans. As such he became a strong and compassionate soul doing all he could for his friends, and being their shield.

Motivation

Help the Helpless: Those unable to help themselves in their current situation require assistance, and it is the duty of the Jedi to lend that aid.
