Background
Born to scrappers on the planet of Fest, young Marcus always had a knack for tinkering with and fixing the junk tech his family salvaged. Yearning to serve the Empire and see the galaxy, he enlisted in the Imperial Fleet with hopes of adventure Unfortunately, due to his technical know-how, he was assigned as a technician aboard a Star Destroyer, fixing TIE fighters and Imperial transports day-in and day-out. Instead of seeing the galaxy, he rarely saw the outside of a hangar bay and was as far from adventure as one could get. He tried to maintain his spirit high, but rumors of atrocities committed by the empire, monotonous work, and terrible treatment at the hands of his incompetent superiors began to erode his optimism, and loyalty.
One day Marcus was tasked with quickly repairing an impounded, and heavily damaged, rebel GR-75 transports computer for valued intelligence. Aboard he saw nothing but death. Throughout the ship were the corpses of a few rebel soldiers, but the ship was littered with the bodies of refugees and countless escaped slaves. Innocents blasted down by storm troopers like vermin. That day he vowed to leave the empire and ensure that it would crumple, so that no further atrocities would ever occur again.
