Ardanus was raised in a Matukai orphanage on the planet Jedha. As a child, Ardanus began martial training as a form of spiritual devotion. Ardanus enjoyed the discipline and the thrill of sparring with a worthy opponent but his temper made him unsuited for the life of a monk. Ardanus was an associate of Saw Gerrera's partisans but was imprisoned before he became a formal member. While incarcerated in the infamous Cog Hive Seven prison, Ardanus willingly began participating in the station's gladiatorial games. Ardanus' most notable fight was against the warden's pet vornskr. Ardanus managed to kill the beast with his bare hands. Seeing the opportunity to make a profit, the warden sold Ardanus to a hutt. Ardanus has been fighting for the amusement of the hutt and his guests but hopes to prove himself against real enemies and fight for a cause that will make him a legend.
