Background
Homeworld: Concord Dawn
Age: 23
- Born and raised on Concord Dawn, a shattered war-torn planet in Mandalorian space
- Her hometown, a fortified settlement called Harrakka , was loyal to Clan Vex of House Kryze during the clone wars, and maintained that loyalty after the fall of the Republic
- Adi's family were simple farmers, working in the fields. Whilst foundlings were occasionally selected from the broad population and Adi dreamt of becoming one, ultimately she joined the city's defence forces at the age of 16 (17 BBY). Shortly after, her parents died of an outbreak of disease, and she threw herself in to her now role to help support her extended family
- Around five years ago (15 BBY), House Vizsla's defection to the Empire led to the toppling of House Kryze. Clan Saxon in particular were named Imperial Protectors of Mandalorian space, and the Empire sent troops to occupy Concord Dawn
- During the siege of Harrakka Adi worked as a gunner, fending off waves of imperial gunships to buy time for the rest of the civilians to evacuate, until her battery was destroyed. When she awoke in the rubble the battle was over, and Clan Vex was shattered
- She made her way to a small spaceport and hopped the first ship to anywhere, landing on Dantooine, where she got involved as cheap muscle for the crime-lord Imara. She quickly became one of Imara's most effective fist-throwers, and Adi admired her boss' refusal to participate in the destructive slave-fuelled Spice trade
- For the past year has worked with Tiva, aiding her smuggling runs with her fists and blaster
Motivation
- For the first few years after the fall of Harrakka, Adi just tried to stay alive. Her cousins, her only living family at that time, were now relatively safe in the mid-rim (Ord Mantell, last she heard), so she felt it was time to leave the past behind her
- That's been hard, however. All her life she'd dreamt of making her peers proud in her people's tradition, but after the destruction of Clan Vex she felt like that meaning had been lost forever, leaving her adrift
- Working for Imara was the best work she'd found so far; a crime lord with standards and morals is hard to come by, and her ambitions of glory in combat didn't suit guard duty
- Adi harbours feelings of vengeance towards the Empire in general, and Clan Saxon in particular; the former destroyed her home, but the latter were worse than foes - they betrayed their people for mere greed
Obligations
- Adi's sense of loyalty triumphs over all her other considerations. The worst quality a person can have to her is to be a traitor, but betraying your ideals is far worse than betraying a person
- Her old unit practiced the idea of 'no man left behind' - this is something she still adheres to, and will rest at nothing until those she loves are either safe, or avenged
- As someone who lost their home, Adi roots keenly for an underdog, and loathes a bully - whilst quick to cajole and intimidate, she never turns force against those who can't defend themselves, or innocent bystanders, and reacts strongly to abuses of authority
Description
- Standing roughly 5'11''/6'0 tall, with dark tan skin, brown eyes, and messy black hair. Occasionally she daubs her face with a smear of red ochre, if the situation calls for it (what that means, only she knows)
- She wears a fairly standard set of rugged clothes beneath a set of plated duraplast riot armour, often with a jacket overtop, and when going into close-quarters battle will don her breath mask and scanner goggles (should dust/debris be a factor)
- She wields a fastidiously maintained blaster pistol, an older Blastech DL-10/21 bought for cheap from a Dantooine pawn shop and brought to perfect condition, as well as a pair of shock gloves ("For more intimate encounters")
