Background

'Sixer' is a character created by Heavy_Weapons_Guy that specializes in the Vanguard specialization. He is a reprogramed AI in a commando droid chassis, found in an abandoned CIS production plant after it's defeat. Unwanted by the Empire, who had ordered all CIS droid forces deactivated, Sixer's chassis was found by a soon-to-be rebel technician by the name of Rall En'Tando. He reprogramed Sixer, and used him as a bodyguard and occasionally let the Rebellion use him on missions. Soon after, Rall died of a rare disease, leaving Sixer behind. Sixer, whose programming was not altered after Rall's death, doggedly follows Rall's orders to assist the Rebellion in his absence to this day.

Motivation

Motivation | Orders - Programming
When Rall died and left Sixer, the last orders inputted to Sixer were to help the Rebellion in Rall's absence. Sixer, his programming limiting him to tasks relating to combat, interpreted these orders as 'do what my superiors tell me to'. He follows this mantra as strictly as possible, and will not listen to anyone but his designated commander, exempting extreme circumstances.

Duties

Duty | Efficiency | 20
Having the base programming of a BX series Commando Droid combined with Rall's orders, Sixer is inclined to end a conflict quickly, and if possible, before one even starts. This mentality extends to not only combat but also social interactions. Sixer prefers short, clipped responses and coercion to accomplish a task as fast as possible. A method, which in Sixer's mind, is the best possible way to advance the Rebellion's goals.

Description

Sixer possesses the standard chassis of all BX series Commando Droids; these characteristics include a vaguely humanoid figure with angular armor plating, sloping head, glowing white photoreceptors, three digit hands, and armored mesh stretching over the weaker joints. The differentiating factor between standard Commando Droids and Sixer is his paint job. Instead of the Black and Beige CIS paint job, most of Sixer's chassis's paint has been stripped, leaving a dull Metallic Grey with Black accents.

Other Notes

Special Abilities: Droids do not need to eat, sleep,
or breathe, and are unaffected by toxins and poisons.
Droids have a cybernetic implant cap of 6 instead
of their Brawn rating. In addition, after selecting a
career, a droid Player Character may train one rank
each in six of the eight career skills (instead of the
usual four). After selecting a specialization, a droid
PC may train one rank each in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two).
• Inorganic: Since droids are inorganic, they do
not gain the benefits of recovering with a bacta
tank, a stimpack, or Medicine skill checks. Droids
do recover naturally by resting, as their systems
attempt self-repairs. If self-repair is not adequately effective, a droid needs to be tended to
with a Mechanics check, using the same difficulties and results as Medicine checks for organic
beings. Emergency repair patches can be used to
repair damage, just like stimpacks can be used on
organic beings. See page 232 for more on droid
repairs and healing. Due to their resilient metallic
construction, droids start the game with one rank
in the Enduring talent.
• Mechanical Being: Droids cannot become Forcesensitive nor acquire a Force rating by any means.
Droids cannot use Force powers and also cannot
be affected by mind-altering Force powers.
