Name: Malekti ‘Malek’ Guntarun (Malek [Mal-leck])
Race: Chiss
Career: Explorer
Specialization: Big-game Hunter
- Born on the planet of Csilla, Malek grew up like an ordinary child alongside his best friend Mako.
- Malek’s mother and father had a heavy hand in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force. This involvement brought an extreme fondness for Chiss well-being. Malek eventually joined the Expansionary Defense Force upon reaching adulthood.
- Though the Chiss liked to paint the picture of a practically utopian society, One night, around the age of 24, Mako and Malek heard the sounds of a child crying and the sound of what seemed like someone being hit. Occasionally, “false” rumors would get around of the “strict justice” of Chiss parents, but he never encountered it.
- However, the sounds came from the home of a member of the Aristocra (noble houses of the Chiss), and, knowing the consequences of intervening, quickly walked away. Filled with regret, the cries of the chess child continued to occupy the mind of Mako and Malek. About a week later, they walked by the same house and, unfortunately, heard the same cries for help. This time, Mako and Malek chose to intervene.
- Under the cover of the night, and even better timing, Mako and Malek successfully rescued the little chiss girl, Tlirg'heize’unga (Seize), from the home and hid her away in one of his family’s vacation homes. The news of the “kidnapping” of a nobleman’s chid, quickly spread around and the Ascendancy worked to search for the child. Realizing the “false rumors” were, in fact, real, Mako and Malek made it their mission to rescue these children from their homes.
- Though they couldn’t always stay at the vacation home, Mako and Malek, frequently visited Heize. Mako would keep watch in the home, while Malek hunted for food. They also informed their other close friends on their situation and, as good homies do, joined in protecting little Heize and rescuing children in similar situations.
- This group of good-hearted goonies and “Lost Children” would grow to a size of 23 (6 adults and 17 children). However, as more children were kidnapped, the search for the child kidnappers grew more and more.
- One day, while on their way to visit the Lost Children, Mako and Malek saw the home on fire and their friends rounded up. Only a small people knew about this location. Realizing there was an informant and, probably, a price on their head, Mako and Malek, decided to flee Csilla by ship.
- Now, one year later, Mako and Malek have been living their lives as “outlaws” of Csilla, working odd-jobs as a mercenary and a big game hunter.
