Hard Headed 1 The character may perform the Hard Headed action. On any turn in which the character is Staggered or Disoriented, they may perform the Hard Headed action (this action may be specifically performed even though they are normally barred from performing actions when staggered). They make a Daunting () Discipline check. If they succeed, they are no longer staggered or disoriented. The difficulty of this check decreases by one per additional rank of Hard Headed, to a minimum of Easy ().
Body Guard 1 Once per round on the character's turn, the character may perform a Body Guard maneuver to protect one ally they are engaged with. They then suffer a number of strain no greater than their ranks in Body Guard. Background

Disadvantaged
Whether on a planet under strict Imperial rule or some backwater moon far from any trade route, the career of a Hired Gun becomes an attractive prospect, a way of exchanging the familiar daily struggle for a life full of potential.

Motivation

Extended Family/Clan: The character has a large extended family, clan, or tribe that they deeply love. They seek both their comfort and approval despite the many voices clamoring in their ear for attention.

Out of the Game: The character works as a mercenary not because they love the violence, but because they need to earn enough to buy their way out. This could be trying to accumulate enough money to retire, pay off their debts, or even perform some action to repay a friend before the PC gives up their life of violence.

Obligations

Family (20): The character has struggled out of the slime pits at the very bottom of galactic society with an almost pathological frenzy to escape everything from their past. And yet, some residual family obligation still remains. Maybe it is a younger brother or sister, or maybe a parent or close friend, but someone still cares for the Hired Gun, and the PC still cares for that person, no matter how much they wish they did not. If some enemy or creditor were to discover these ties, they could easily be used against the character, and fear of this is a constant worry.

Description

Other Notes

Backstory: Brought and raised by extended clan of Mafia. Became Hired Gun/The Muscle to support "family". Regret and suffered family's lives from Outer Rim lifestyle. Decided to pursue getting out of the game for himself and his entire family, by continuing being a Hired Gun for others.
