Background
Rennek Alder had a very successful career as as smuggler. He was able to retire after some fortunate jobs and settle down with the family he had started. For years, he grew crops and children with his wife and all seemed well.
Once the Clone Wars started things turned bad fast. Though the planet and his family tried to stay peaceful, his home on Agamar became a battlefield between the Republic and the CIS. One of his sons joined the CIS and was killed by Clone Troopers in a battle. Two of his sons were recruited by the Republic and he has not seen nor heard from them for years, not matter how hard he tried to contact them.
After the war, his family tried to get back to as normal as a life as possible, but the Empire had other plans. One of his sons happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and was executed as a traitor to the Empire. The Empire decided to burn his farm and kill his livestock to make a point. His wife died from the smoke and he was barely able to escape with his last remaining child, his daughter Keira.
Rennek, fearing for his life and the life of his daughter, took her to his wife's parents on Lothal. Though they do not have much, they promised to keep Keira safe and make sure no one knows where she is.
Rennek is in Capital City in Lothal. He plans to find a ship, find a crew, and find a way to get enough money so he can guarantee the safety of his daughter, and what little remains of his family. He is also hoping he can bring some justice to all of those who did his family wrong.
