Background
Djinn was raised on Phatrong, the Kyuzo homeworld. His parents were members of a Clovoc responsible for upholding the local law and hunting down criminals, a profession that he also participated in when he became an adult. In his free time he enjoyed tinkering with weapons and armors, seeing their craft as the ultimate marriage of art and practical design. Djinn was boastful of his tools, claiming they were far superior to anything his Clovoc's armorer could make. The armorer challenged him to a duel of honor, saying that whoever was left standing was clearly the better craftsman. Djinn, despite his family's pleading to just apologize for his remarks, agreed to the duel. Blaster bolts were exchanged, Djinn's armor held up but his opponent's did not.
Djinn's Clovoc kicked him out after this incident, his boastfulness seen as a liability. Unwilling to turn to farming, he instead left the planet to pursue work that he was familiar with. Bounty hunting turned out to be a natural fit for the militaristic Kyuzo, and the lucrative contracts gave him the resources he needed to feed his obsession.
