Orys hails from the ruined planet of Balosar. Growing up in squalor, Orys inevitably worked for one of the titanic mega-corporations which dominates the planet. Owing to his forgettable face and natural talent for setting people at ease, Orys found that he had an easier time than most at getting his hands (or ears) on sensitive information. Having no great love for the company he and his family were under the yoke of, he first supplemented his income by selling minor corporate secrets to business rivals. Orys always took great care to only sell those that would generate buyer interest, without compromising his Employer. His underground reputation as a data-broker eventually caught the attention of one Jonas Balkar, who tasked Orys with obtaining a seemingly innocuous set of ledgers. These books exposed a link with the Empire, which led to the financial ruin of the company. Orys was able to leave Balosar, applying and being accepted into the SIS at Balkar's recommendation, but Orys is always left wondering how far behind he actually left The Company...
