Background
Q: How did you discover your force sensitivity?
A: A vision. While seeking a Mon Calamari relic that was lost during the Clone Wars, I received a vision that revealed its location. I had always had a lucky streak in finding lost things, but a vision secured that my ability was a gift from the Force.
Q: Describe a moment where you fell prey to your moral weakness or experienced a tragedy/horror that still haunts you.
A: During an artifact hunt with my mentor, Ji Sabb, I focused too intently on retrieving the artifact. This tunnel vision led me to ignore the obvious dangers. My mentor fell into an ancient trap and called to me for help. I had convinced myself she would be alright temporarily while I spent the extra few minutes retrieving the item. During this time, a secondary trap activated and took her arm. I have felt nothing but guilt over this ever since.
Q: How did you come to join the NJO?
A: Ji Sabb suggested I seek additional training with the New Jedi Order. A force-sensitive herself, she knew that the galaxy was a safer place to seek knowledge and training. She had grown too old to begin her pursuit, but wished for me to hone my skills.
Q: Name one NPC your character has a strong connection with. This could be a family member, a friend, a work contact, or a bitter rival.
A: Ji Sabb was my mentor. I grew up a recluse. Consigned to believe only my books mattered, Ji saw my thirst for knowledge and decided to take me under her fin. She showed me that while books and education are important, so it life experience. It shapes us into the people we end up being in a way that simple knowledge cannot. We went on many artifact hunts together, until our last. Her age at the time of the "accident" rendered her unable to continue, so she sent me to the NJO.
Q: Describe a pivotal moment in your life where you demonstrated your moral strength despite adversity.
A: In the final years of my studies I was approached by Ji. Her offers of adventure and of ancient knowledge seemed...promising. However, if I departed my studies, I would not graduate. I had spent my whole life studying, with the desire to become an authority on old civilization and establish my place in the ranks of academia. I saw the truth in Ji, and her offer. I gave in, and abandoned my studies to travel with her and gain the experience she promised. I was not disappointed.
