So you see, the Farantha are a water dwelling species that make for a unique farm animal. The oils they produce are nutrient rich, calorie dense, and have great macro nutritional content. To extract the oil, one most go into the liquid dwelling place of a Farantha, navigate through the maze of tentacles they have, and massage the outer thoracic membrane. The oil then must be collected via small-micron filter, allowing the smaller water molecules to pass but collect most everything else. The Farantha are a pleasant species, albeit horrific to look at, so no true danger is present during this process.
This collected excretion is transported to the surface, and then painstakingly filtered to remove other impurities originating from the solids in the water. The remaining oil can be bottled, whipped into a creme, or cooked into a gelatin block. Farantha oil has great functional utility; studies have shown positive benefits of skin health when Farantha oil is applied to one's external membranes (or carapace, should that be relevant), increased cardiovascular vascular endurance when micro-dosed, and an anti-anxiety effect when brewed in water. Certain species have even found a steroidal-like effect, meaning that the Farantha oil promotes muscle growth! On the more unscrupulous side, some say unrefined Farantha Oil can be mixed with other narcotics to enhance their effects, though this is certainly an unsubstantiated claim and not recommended for consumers to try!
Why would someone become a Farantha Farmer, you might ask? Well, aside from the honest work and the kinship felt between two species with hive mentalities, you get the added benefit of having fresh Farantha oil at any opportunity!
Why would a GEONOSIAN become a Farantha Farmer? Well, the story starts back when Tiktakos was hatched on this planet, the egg rescued from a black market smuggler by the nice elderly family that has own this lakeside waterfarm for decades. Since the story starts there, I'll go back an additional 15 years...
Just kidding. He is a farm boy. His "parents" are human. He can fly, is strong, and... oh, I think I just made Superman?
Tiktakos wants to do his parents right and exhibit the idealistic qualities they exhibit. He wants to make an honest living being an honest man-bug.
Farantha Farm, 20 - This beautiful lakeside home has a garden for additional food varieties, but little would suspect the vast network of machinery and ropes beneath the water that helps the Farantha live in bliss. It is, however, a target for criminals who know the value of unrefined Farantha Oil...

Tiktakos is a Geonosian, so he has a carapace and exoskeleton that protects him from the environment. He's of the warrior caste breed, so he's incredibly strong even though his appearance might seem 'thin' compared to other species.
