Background
Jolur has spent much of his life working as a driver/pilot/manager at the Taan Shipping Company (TSC). Life was simple. He slept on his ship, and had little interests outside of work. However, eventually things got complicated. Being a smaller family run operation the TSC struggled to compete with larger Republic conglomerates, and with the rising galactic tensions the business needed to evolve or it would die. It was Jolur who decided to start smuggling goods for select clients. Everyone knew war was imminent and needed to stockpile supplies and restricted goods in order to stay alive. However, smuggling quickly began to get out of hand, the jobs got progressively riskier and less worth it. Eventually a bounty was issued for information about my ship and crew. The authorities hadn't identified us, but they were closing in. We were on a job when everything went to hell. We were dropping off a shipment on Bandomeer (a wealthy family was fortifying their estate and had paid to have several battle droids (disguised as mining equipment) brought onto planet). After leaving planet we soon learned a Republic ship had learned of our location. We had been betrayed by one of our own. Raycar Flamir, a fellow Duros crew member sold us out. A fight ensued, and Raycar was shot for his treachery. Jolur and the 10 remaining crew fled back to Bandomeer. Upon touching down the crew scattered. It was every man for themselves. Jolur managed to avoid capture and hitched a ride off system to Altyr V, where he later yet fled to Altyr V's moon. There's no way anyone would look here, right? Jolur ultimately blames himself for everything that happened. He pushed the crew into bad situations, and started them down a path of crime. He hated every minute of it, but figured it was a necessary evil if they wanted to avoid bankruptcy. He can only hope that some of them were also able to escape. He never predicted being betrayed by his own crew. He won't make that mistake again. Not a chance.
