Background
Brief Background:
Born to Coruscant high society, Fenix Kyantis breezed through life with the assurance of status and wealth regardless of how little effort he made in his youth, spending nearly half of it carousing with members of the opposite sex like some low-life from the lower levels. As a result, he did not excel enough to qualify for the upper echelons of the Imperial Navy, though his honed social skills meant he was competent enough to obtain law enforcement qualifications, becoming an Imperial Police officer through his family's connections. He didn't stop his carousing, however, and in the course of his career ended up embroiled in a murder investigation of the woman he was planning to propose to, a woman who turned out to be a Rebel sympathizer that was attempting to turn him.
Fenix was indicted, but eventually exonerated through a combination of evidence, familial connections, and the behind-the-scenes influence of former lovers. The media coverage of the scandal labeled him a black sheep of the Kyantis family, and so in order to shake any lingering suspicions of Rebellion ties off of the family, he was formally disowned, given a meager share of what should have been his inheritance, then cast out of the planet with no tears shed. The last Kyantis he spoke with before his departure was the head of the family who told him, in no uncertain terms, never to return.
It's been four years since then.
Motivation
QUEST: REDEMPTION
Fenix may have been innocent of the charges against him, but he is still an outcast, not worthy to return home until he has cleansed his shame in the eyes of the high society of the Empire and its Core Worlds.
Obligations
OBLIGATION: EXILE (5) - The Empire and the Core Worlds do not easily forgive lapses in judgement by one of its former enforcers, specially not those made by one that might have been influenced by a Rebel agent.
OBLIGATION: PHILANDERER (5) - A love of life leads to a life of lovers, some less happier to reminisce than others...
[Obligations can be found in the Far Horizons Sourcebook]
Description
Five-foot-six and change (1.68m), Fenix has never been considered "tall." Jet black hair and emerald green eyes are the most striking of his features, for his otherwise smooth face had long since been marked with the little imperfections gained from years of chasing perps and brawling in bars. He tends to prefer clothing reminiscent of his Imperial uniform, but does his best to try to make it look distressed and even armored, if only to make sure his clothes don't easily give away his Coruscanti roots.
A social butterfly, Fenix manages to somehow make friends with both royalty and riff-raff, especially if they were of the female persuasion. Would-be enemies tend to underestimate him when they see him drinking lightly and flirting heavily in a dimly-lit cantina, only to find a hard-nosed veteran of the streets glaring silently at them with a blaster in his hand.
