Background
Jakai was born on an orbital station around the planet Earth, spending most of his childhood in space. He followed in the footsteps of his parents as explorers, sharing the same love of braving the unknown.
He worked for the Explorers League, and was hired by wealthy and powerful corporations to map out new spacelanes and find new worlds rich in resources for Galaxy Garrison and the Galactic Alliance.
He often worked as a contractor for the military as well, sharing his discoveries with them and providing tactical support. Given his mixed heritage - and the fact that he does not know where his alien blood comes from - he was often the victim of bullying, which is partly why he liked spending so much time in space.
He did, however, become friends with some humans and aliens who spend as much time among the stars as he did.

Motivation
Jakai lives for the thrill of discovery, braving the unknown - he cannot resist an opportunity to help the downtrodden, or be the first to a new place.

Dutybound - Jakai will always fulfill his contracts and promises... no matter the cost.
