Background

Had a normal childhood growing up in Chandrila. No real hardships, other than his own internal struggles. However, he saw enough terror and turmoil from the Empire's harsh policies. Feeling alone, anxious, and angry, he joined the Rebellion the second he came across a small squad of soldiers.

Motivation

Belief: To others, he presents his motivation as purely based on his belief in justice. He wants to right the wrongs inflicted by the empire and restore peace in the galaxy. He truly believes in this cause, but it is not his primary motivation for fighting.

Quest: His primary motivation, that he keeps hidden, is that he wants to belong to something and prove that he is capable of great things. He wants to conquer his fears and anxieties, and do what he believes is right. He wants to feel like he matters and has a place in the world.

Duties

Sabotage: The largest and most powerful military force in the history of the galaxy is also the most vulnerable to acts of destruction and asset denial. The character is focused on disrupting Imperial operations in any way possible, whether it’s the manufacture of weapons, troop movements, supply shipments, banking systems, or any other key operation, in order to make the Empire act more slowly and less capably. Truly showy acts of destruction also work to erode a population’s will to support the Empire, or so the PC often believes (though the Alliance expressly forbids actual acts of terrorism).

Other Notes

Personality: To the outside world, Kul seems cool and collected at all times. Others think of him as a confident and competent soldier that knows how to stay calm in tough situations and do his job. Internally, he is full of anxiety, self-doubt, depression, loneliness, and fear. He questions every move and every decision he makes, and is constantly looking back on his failures and doubting his future. He has trained himself to conceal these traits and concentrate on the tasks at hand, despite the inner turmoil. It would almost seem like his mind and body operate separately from one another.
