Born on Tatooine in 35 BBY, Orani Tel Jorcana was born to her mother and father in a sandcrawler on the endless desert of Tattooine. She was quite sensitive in the force, and shortly after was found by the Jedi Order, who took her into their care and inducted her into the order, raising her and training her in the ways of the force. During her time at the temple, she spent time with many jedi masters, who would comment on Oranis sensitivity to the emotions of others. often her elders were worried that Orani's own sensitivity to emotions would allow her own to take precedent and foster fear.

In the years leading up to The Clone Wars, Orani was plagued by nightmares and visions, but could not make out what she was supposed to do. however in 23 BBY, she and her Master, Kilrun Fisture, were requested by a Naboo Royal to help provide security to a conference occuring in the capitol of Theed. While there on the mission, Orani noticed a archduke from a neighbouring system berating someone, a beautiful white furred Shistavanen, who she later asked if she was okay. The Shistavanen, who introduced herself as Runa Leiha-e’ was in fact an intentured servant to the archduke. Orani could not help but feel a rush of compassion for the girl, and proceeded to pick the lock from the girls collar and ran all along the streets of theed with the girl and her newfound freedom. Upon returning to her post, she was greeted by her master who while upset, understood Orani's reasoning and choice, and the next day, took Runa with them back to Coruscant, where she used her connections to help Runa start up a farm on Saleucami.

Shortly before the clone wars began, Orani would come to find that Runa had based a freedom fighting operation from Saleucami, and would lend her intel to her friend when she could. However, during the clone wars conflict, Orani and her master would be put in charge as generals of the 417th legion of clones. who they served alongside loyally for 3 years.

When the 417th was stationed at an outer rim position, order 66 was given while Orani and her master were onboard their Venator, the Compassion. Orani could only watch as her master was shot in the back by lieutenant Bolt. Fortunately, Orani managed to escape thanks to the assistance of 4 clones, CT-8839, Deadshot, CT-8033, Swinger, CC-9338, Commander Tidal, and ARC-1033, Crescent, who helped her escape in her ETA-2 interceptor while the other 4 clones escaped with her in an ARC-170, the four of them having had their chips removed or damaged during the years of the war.

Following the rise of the Empire, Orani went into hiding on the run for a few years, she hopped from ally to ally but did not wish to bring the wrath of the empire onto her friends, so she kept moving along, aquiring her own freighter to make into a base and home, until she finally found her way to Saleucami. There she met with a longtime friend and ally, Runa. For the next several years the two of them made the Twin Suns into their home and base of operation for a small liberation crew, They picked up a new crewmember, Nul’ra Chisol, and aquiring 2 new droid crewmembers, DB-17, and CH-I7P.

In 2 BBY, Orani and her crew began hearing whispers of a growing rebellion through the galaxy and began to lend themselves to the cause when they could. After the battle of Yavin, the Alliance became the permanent mission of The Twin Suns crew, and Orani began working midrim missions for the alliance, eventually becoming a commander and flying with the violet squadron. following the evacuation of hoth, she was stationed on the MC75, The spear of Ryloth, which was the home base of Violet Squadron and was in charge of deploying the fleet covertly in the outer rim to hide from the empire.

Orani's motivations are to see that the galaxy frees itself from the suffocating depths of the empires darkness. Whether the Jedi will truly return, she doesn't know, but she knows that as long as she and other Jedi survivors do not stop helping those in need, the order will never truly be gone.

Before the Rebellion, Orani simply wished to help disband criminal organizations and slavery trades, while she still does this in her time away from the Rebellion, she still contributes to the rebellions efforts to overthrow the tyranny of the Galactic Empire.

Though her main motivation is to help her love, Runa, fulfill her mission of freeing the galaxy from oppressive forces and slavery

Orani believes in a strict moral code of the strong having a duty to defend and save those who cannot defend themselves. While she was raised as a jedi, her ability to read emotions around her allowed herself to perform a journey of self discovery and realized that emotions where not as black and white as the jedi made them out to be, While she still upholds a strong moral code, she does indeed love her wife and her crew and friends.

Her goal once the Alliance has reinstated the Republic is to resume her journey of freeing those who need it,

Orani is at a smaller than average height for a Jawa, only coming in at a height of .8 meters. Though her size is quite small, her general looks are similar to that of other jawas, her face, mouselike in nature is hidden by wrappings and two yellow gem like stones, which are then covered by a hood of orangey brown thick cloth. Her arms and legs are wrapped in cloths and her cloak covers her body, under which she wears her armour. strapped along her waist is a belt carrying her own lightsaber, while on a leather string, her former masters lightsaber is in her satchel hidden in her cloak.
