Raised in the Inner Rim world of Lolnar, Otto was the 3rd of 8 children to Richard and Helga Idyll, moderately accomplished manufacturers and traders. Knowing that the family business was not large enough for him to receive part of it in his inheritance, Otto focused on his academic studies and excelled in history and medicine. Having heard of the Empire's brutality from a close, intimate classmate, Otto joined the Rebellion to help people right away with what skills he had than wait to finish university. Otto made a name for stabilizing and saving a high-ranking Imperial officer Admiral [???] who provided timely and relevant intelligence that saved a squad of Rebels from an ambush. This event showed Otto the importance of intelligence operations in preventing casualties. Due to Otto's medical training and quick thinking in action, he was paired up with the more combat-experienced [Kim's character]; the dyad headed to their mission in the Hexagon together to meet with Alliance sympathizers to establish an operations cell.

Mentor: This Soldier focuses on maintaining standards installed by a drill instructor, a teacher back home, or a more experienced combatant. The character fights to achieve greatness in battle to impress this mentor, and show that those lessons weren't given in vain.

Intelligence: The PC knows that every victory hinges on knowing as much about the Empire's military might and other assets as possible. He is driven to gather any and all potentially useful data, wishing to locate vital and vulnerable targets for Rebellion forces to strike at. He not only wants to know what the Imperial military factions are up to, but also state of technological research, economic policies, and other aspects of Imperial strength.
