Background
CT-1638 or more commonly known by his comrades as "Machine", was part of the 405th Legion under the command of Jedi Padawan Raian Keldabe. Machine barely survived most of these battles by the edge of his teeth, always coming near the brink of death while his squad mates were never so lucky. Machine began to blame himself for the many deaths of his comrades as well as hating his Jedi commander for sending them into such situations. He'll never forget during the Battle of Thule when the Jedi commanders abandoned the clones to an overwhelming amount of battle droids, Machine again emerging as the last survivor of his squad when a thermal detonator was lobbed over the barricade. Machine became a recluse, biding his time until the war was over or until death finally claimed him. This time came during Order 66. The 405th legion turned on Raian Keldabe, but Machine watched and fought in horror as the padawan cut them down. Machine ran, fear finally taking him as he retreated and urged his other squad mates to retreat. After an hour, Machine finally stopped running and looked around for his squad mates to find that he was alone. Machine realized he had just deserted his fellow comrades to die as he calmly stood up and got off planet with the first ship he could find. Machine exiled himself for almost a year, before reemerging as a for hire bounty hunter taking on every contract that the Imperials had to offer. He would not let the Republic down again.
