Background
Tanaris was born to a pair of doctors on Coruscant, and has always had a desire to bring healing. Even as she entered the Jedi Order, her care of living beings was obvious. Her parents were hesitant to give Tanaris up, but knew ultimately that the Jedi Order would take good care of their little girl. She quickly made friends with a Nautolan named Yelal Noc.
Tanaris immediately trained in Jedi healing, learning different methods to provide comfort to the ill. This brought her all across the galaxy, and even led her to discover the gifted child Shamara Rohana, and connect her with the Jedi Order.
Though Tanaris did not favor herself as a combatant, she volunteered to join the team of Jedi on Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. She rightly suspected that a healer would be necessary in the field. She did not anticipate her own survival, and came out of the fight more prepared for the brewing war.
