Motivation
Survival
As much as Rin wants to walk his master's path he knows that the cards are stacked against him and those like him. The hologram of Obiwan's fateful message still haunts Rin, making the ability to avoid detection synonymous with survival.

Master Oryn made a huge impression on Rin, who feels a lot of compassion for those in need. Sharing ration packs, liberating slaves, stopping oppression - these are all things that are difficult for Rin to ignore.
On the flip side, Rin harbors a deep-seated hatred for those he deems responsible for his master’s death. Stormtroopers tend to take the brunt of this passion, as they often trigger the painful memory of that night, but the main focus of Rin’s emotional weakness is the man with the scratchy voice.
