Description
Bokadet Gres left his homeworld of Lira San in the Outer Rim for a life of adventure. After surviving 23 dust seasons, there was nothing left for him back home. Gres's love, Nolieb Rasa had fallen for his best friend and the pain could only be assuaged by distance and time.
But finding work was not easy in Empire-controlled space. All the best jobs were barred from non-humans. So the big lasat was forced to take more menial jobs such as laborer, transport pilot, and more. Some were more demeaning than others, like working as a crate-buster where his Quarren overseer kept mistaking him for a Wookie.
Finally, Gres was lucky enough to catch the eye of a friendly Snivvian bounty hunter named Bech Gaklo and after some uncomfortable begging was allowed to follow on as an apprentice. So they left together in Dog, his ship. Bech had a tendency to give strange names to equipment that his life would depend on. Something he says was started by a friend of his went on to join the Rebellion. That was almost 2 seasons ago and it had been good until their last bounty proved to be too much for the both of them. His master fell to a well-disguised trap and Gres was not quick enough to save him.
So now Bokadet Gres has lost his mentor and struck out on his own again. He continues in the way he was taught, bearing the arms and ship of his master and bringing criminals to justice. It wasn't until later that Gres ran into a human who recognized Dog and said he'd been looking for it. The man turned out to be Sherig Rawlbar, Bech's friend from the Rebellion.
The two talked and swapped stories over drinks until Sherig fessed up to knowing what happened. He said the Rebellion was aware of our target and tried to capture them for their knowledge of the Empire. But imperial agents put the bounty on alert and the Rebels found that they were not the first to arrive. They saw that Bech had been on the receiving end of the Empire's welcome and it had cost him his life. Now knowing what really happened, Gres felt pained again at the memory of the loss. He swore vengeance against those responsible and Sherig offered him a way by joining the Rebellion.
