Motivation

Dutybound- New Republic special ops/soldier
Criminal- Thane was a former criminal, as many Gank end up being. Despite the relaxed laws in Hutt space, the string of thefts that culminated in a botched heist resulted in an arrest warrant being put out for him. Fearing the justice system, he turned to bounty-hunting and embraced his species' heritage as a cold-blooded killer.
Betrayal- Thane used to be a Gank mercenary in Hutt space, and worked with a few others of his kind. For the most part they got along well, though Thane felt that he always got a smaller cut of the reward. On one of the more dangerous missions, a hit-and-run on a smuggling ring operating out of a warehouse, his companions abandoned him, retreating and leaving him to die. Somehow he escaped, but since that event, hasn't been able to trust anyone.
