Jaiisa was born into a minor noble family on Corulag. She grew up carefree and wanting little, and enjoyed eclectic interests such as dancing, knife throwing, and ventriloquism. When she was 18, seeking to increase their social status after the rise of the Empire, her family arranged a marriage for her to an Imperial officer. Jaiisa was vehemently opposed to the idea, but was eventually browbeat into submitting by her mother, reluctantly agreeing for what she thought was the good of her family. Hey husband, Philcor Vailoffe, was cold and distant, and became abusive after a few months. Regretting her decision and feeling backed into a corner, Jaiisa eventually snapped and killed Philcor when he was threatening her one night. Not knowing what to do, she fled the planet and never looked back. She found work on the run in the Outer Rim. Her hatred of the Empire eventually led to her joining the Rebellion. She has been working for them for several years now.

Freedom: Jaiisa has gained experience in the evils of the Empire living on Corulag under the Imperials, and especially being married to an abusive Imperial officer. The arranged marriage her parents coerced her into left her feeling trapped, and she never wants to feel that way again, and wants to help others achieve freedom.

Jaiisa used to be carefree, but her experiences from her arranged marriage have scarred her, leaving her cynical. She does what she can now to survive. While she felt her abusive husband deserved it, she still feels guilty about murdering him. While she won't admit it to others in the hard society of the Outer Rim, she doesn't want to kill if she doesn't have to.
