Background

Born into a middle-class family on Corellia, Jado Vondar learned early on that opportunity lies where others see only chaos. As a teenager, he watched the Empire's grip tighten across the galaxy, but where others saw restrictions, he saw chances for profit. Working in his family's shipping business, he developed a keen eye for market gaps and untapped potential.
At age twenty-two, Jado took his modest inheritance and invested in a struggling colony on the Outer Rim world of Pasaana. While others dismissed the desert planet as worthless, he recognized its potential as a crossroads for trade routes avoiding Imperial attention. Within three years, he had transformed a failing moisture farm collective into a thriving trading post, providing sanctuary for merchants seeking to avoid excessive Imperial taxation.
However, success drew unwanted attention. A local Imperial governor attempted to strongarm Jado into a partnership, threatening to declare his business practices "irregular." Rather than submit or flee, Jado leveraged his network of contacts to orchestrate a campaign of bureaucratic confusion that kept the governor tied up in contradictory regulations for months. The experience taught him that sometimes the best defense isn't a blaster or a bribe, but knowing how to work the system.
Today, Jado maintains a legitimate business front while operating a far more profitable network of semi-legal trading operations. He prides himself on never dealing in illegal goods—just helping others navigate the complex web of Imperial trade restrictions for a reasonable fee. His greatest assets are his reputation for reliability and his ability to spot opportunity in unlikely places.
