Born on Onderon, Strelli Lok is of Mandalorian descent, since Clan Lok settled on Onderon after the fall of the Eternal Empire. Strelli was always an outgoing rapscallion who showed an early proficiency in blaster usage. He was raised in the wilds and taught the art of war. Af the age of 16, he was dropped off in the jungles of Dxun to survive for a week as a right of passage. He made it through by perching himself in a blind and sniping cannoks for food. This ability to snipe with absolute precision earned him the nickname of Pikobi or "Pik" for short, after the flightless avians that hunt by skewering their prey with their sharp beaks. When he turned 18, he joined the Imperial Army. By the time he was 20, Strelli had risen to the rank of Sergeant. In an engagement with rebels, Stroll sacrificed his incompetent lieutenant to achieve the objective and save lives. He was promoted for his bravery, but swept under the rug to the outpost on Ord Merlane. He is unpopular with his superiors for his gruff and uncouth behavior, so he prefers the company of his NCOs.

Pik is never the biggest or the strongest man around. He is, however, dark, tall, and handsome, quite unlike his creator. Pik is somewhat lean, with a sharp eye and hair that has grown longer than army regulation would usually allow. Despite that infraction, he keeps himself clean shaven, a state which cannot be applied to his equipment, which is always somewhat disheveled. Pik despises most upper echelon officers, as well as the paperwork they make him do. He likes his men and they like him. However, he would never admit to caring for them, even though he does, as it would interfere with his macho mando persona. He is usually bored by military life and longs for the thrill of the hunt. He has a slight stim addiction.
