Background

Born to a fairly wealthy pair of politicians in possession of their own big game preserve, Zekt has sought thrills in tracking and killing various prey since as soon as he was old enough to hold a blaster. Over time, he learned all the intricacies of the preserve's location and the animals that roamed it, mastering it completely. But with mastery came boredom. His hunts became too efficient, too predictable. He got deep into high-stakes gambling, which provided the necessary rush, but even then, it wasn't the same. Zekt was willing to give up anything to feel that rush of adrenaline he felt on his first hunts once more. Salvation came in an unlikely form - a kidnapping attempt by some pirates he owed money to. They were hoping to hold Zekt hostage and demand a ransom from his parents. In a twist of fate, Zekt managed to escape from his holding cell aboard the pirate ship and turned the situation against them, using his experience to stalk his captors and take them down one by one. Upon safely returning home himself, much to his parents' delight, Zekt had reached an epiphany - the hunt didn't have to stop at the preserve. The whole galaxy was full of dangerous prey to be hunted in unfamiliar locations, under unpredictable circumstances. Zekt soon became a bounty hunter, chasing down progressively more and more dangerous targets, all for the rush of it rather than money. Maybe one day, he'll even get to hunt down the biggest trophy of them all - a jedi.
