Talents

Name Rank Book & Page Description
Cultural Adopters 1 When making a social skill check to interact with non-Tholothians, Tholothians add an automatic advantage result to the results.
Natural Roots 1 When making a check to heal strain while in a natural or wild setting, Tholothians heal one additional strain.
Grit 2 +1 strain
Toughened 2 +2 wounds
Enduring 1 +1 soak
Keen Eyed 2 The character removes a setback die per rank of Keen Eyed from [their] Perception and Vigilance checks. Checks made to search a specific area take 50% less time than normal. This does not decrease with additional ranks of Keen Eyed.
Forager 1 The character removes up to two setback dice from [their] skill checks to find food, water, or shelter. Survival checks to forage take half the time.
Swift 1 The character does not suffer the penalties for moving through difficult terrain (they move through it at normal speed, without spending additional maneuvers).
Outdoorsman 2 The character removes a setback die per rank of Outdoorsman from [their] checks to move through terrain or to manage terrain or environmental effects. Decrease overland travel times by 50% (this does not decrease with additional ranks of Outdoorsman).
Sleight of Mind 1 Force talent. The character adds a boost die per rank of Sleight of Mind to [their] Stealth checks unless the being attempting to detect the character is immune to Force Powers.
Quick Movement 1 Force talent. Before making a non-Force power check during structured gameplay, the character may suffer 2 strain to add Force dice no greater than Force rating to the check. The character may spend two Force points generated during the check to perform one free Move maneuver after the check is finished. This Move maneuver may be in addition to any other maneuvers performed this turn and can allow the character to perform three maneuvers in a turn.
Natural Outdoorsman 1 Once per game session, the character may reroll any one Resilience or Survival check.
Animal Bond 1 Once per round in structure encounters, the character may spend one maneuver to direct [their] animal in performing one action and one maneuver. The animal must be within hearing and visual range of the character (generally medium range) to do this. Otherwise, the animal does not contribute to the encounter. The specifics of its behavior are up to the player and GM.
Animal Empathy 1 Force talent. When making checks to handle, tame, or control animals, the character may add a number of Force dice no greater than [their] Force rating to the check. The character may spend a Force point to add a success or advantage (character's choice) to the result.
Mental Bond 1 Force talent. The character may take the Mental Bond action, committing a Force die. As long as a Force die remains committed, [they] may communicate mentally with an animal bonded to [them] via the Animal Bond talent. [They] can see and hear what it sees and hears, and in structured encounters, [they] may direct [their] animal at up to extreme range.
Share Pain 1 Force talent. When an animal bonded to the character by the Animal Empathy talent suffers wounds, the character may take the Share Pain incidental. [They] reduce the wounds the animal suffered by half (rounded up), then suffers a number of wounds equal to the number reduced.

Force Powers

Force Rating
2
Power
Enhance
Description
Enhance allows Force users to perform athletic feats beyond the original scope of their natural abilities. The basic power has one way of spending Force points:

When making an Athletics check, the user may roll an Enhance power check as part of the pool. The user may spend a Force point to gain a success or advantage result (their choice) on the check. (Remember, this counts as a normal Force power check in every way—it is simply combined with the overall skill check.)
Upgrade Effect
Control The user gains the ability to use Enhance with the Coordination skill.
Control Enhance can be used with the Piloting (Planetary) skill.
Control Enhance can be used with the Piloting (Space) skill.
Control Enhance can be used with the Resilience skill.
Control Enhance can be used with the Brawl skill.
Control The user can take a Force Leap action to make an Enhance power check. They may spend a Force point to jump horizontally to any location within short range. They can use this to leap over obstacles or impassible terrain but cannot leap directly vertically. The user may not activate this multiple times.
Control When taking a Force leap action, the user can leap to any location in range vertically as well as horizontally.
Power
Endure
Description
The basic power of Endure allows a Force user to temporarily ignore the effects of injury. The basic power has one way to commit Force dice:

When the character suffers a Critical Injury with a severity no greater than Easy difficulty, the character may activate Endure as an out-of-turn incidental, committing a Force die. While the Force die remains committed, the character ignores the effects of that Critical Injury. This means they do not apply any results from the Critical Injury or add +10 to further rolls on the Critical Injury Result table while the Force die remains committed. (The injury can still be healed.) When this ongoing effect ends, the character suffers all effects of the Critical Injury (unless it has been treated).
Upgrade Effect
Strength (x2) The character increases the severity of Critical Injuries they can affect using Endure by one per Strength upgrade purchased.
Control The character can commit additional Force dice to temporarily ignore one additional Critical Injury per Control upgrade purchased.
Duration As an incidental, the character can activate Endure to affect a Critical Injury the character is already suffering. The character commits a Force die and ignores all effects of the Critical Injury while the Force die remains committed, just as if the power were activated upon first receiving the injury. The Critical Injury must be of a severity that Endure could affect normally.
Magnitude The character can use Endure to affect allies at short range. The character must commit a Force die as normal, and the Critical Injury must be of a severity that Endure could affect normally. The ongoing effect ends if the character stops committing a Force die or if the distance between the character and the ally increases beyond short range for any reason.
Range The range at which the character can use Endure to affect allies increases to medium. The ongoing effect ends if the distance between characters increases beyond medium for any reason.
