Assets & Resources

Medical Clinic- Doc owns a small clinic with 2 floors. The first floor has 3 patient rooms, a lobby area, and a private office, while the second floors provides living space for Doc and his daughter.

Administrative Droid (Patches)- Patches is an administrative droid bought in an Outer Rim auction. He came at a ridiculously low price because apparently he was shot in the head at some point in his employment with a rather shady group of pirates. He was repaired by a local who owed Doc a favor for medical treatment so he is a bit of a mish mash of whatever materials were available on planet though he is somewhat humanoid. He is quite affable if a little addled on occasion, and is constantly getting into scrapes for his somewhat slow nature.
Stats are: B1 A1 I2 W1 P2
Skills: Charm +1, Computers +1, Xenology +1, +1 Perception
NOTE: Based on lowered stats from the administrative droid: http://swa.stoogoff.com/#3d4k-administrative-droid

Mini-Med Spider Droid (Arachna or Arie) - While Arie is a slightly creepy looking mini-med droid who is black with 5 spindly spider legs. She has little in the way of computer programming, mostly acting as a translator droid and an extra pair of hands during surgery. Most of the time she perches herself perfectly on her master's shoulder, who has an unexplained affinity for the robot. NOTE: Adds +1 Surgeon Talent
Stats are: B1 A1 I1 W1 P0

Background

Previously on Kashyyyk, Doc was a shaman and a leader in his village. However on an expedition to forage herbs with his daughter, Gwynnorreth, Trandoshans attacked and tried to “smoke out” his village in an attempt to capture them. Seeing flames from afar, Doc and his daughter tried to return to save the rest of the clan. They were captured and overheard the Trandoshans complaining that the “fire got out of control and killed all the merchandise”. Mercifully his daughter and he were sold to the Hutts together.

During his time with the Hutts, Doc was mostly charged with treating gladiatorial wounds. Eventually though, due to his skill, he became Korron the Hutt's personal physician and due to healing the ailing Hutt of a persistent and nearly fatal skin disease, Doc was allowed to go free. Doc stayed in Nar Shaddaa for many years working for the Hutt and keeping a watch on his daughter, who was still enslaved. Eventually though Korron's compound was struck by a pirate organization and Doc used the distraction to whisk his daughter away. Many of the slaves were killed in the attack and Gwen was assumed dead. Doc used her "death" as an excuse to leave Nar Shaddaa and set up shop in the Outer Rim. They are now trying to find peace and cope with PTSD.

Motivation

Specific-Family (daughter)- Doc and his daughter have through a series of traumas. First having their home village of Hwaa burned to the ground with the majority of their clan being killed in the fire (including Doc's wife and infant son). Then they were taken by Trandoshan slavers into Hutt slavery where they remained for several years. Finally free of the Hutts, they have settled away from Kashyyyk and the painful memories there. Doc is intent on giving his daughter the best life, which in his mind means free and relatively safe from harm.

Shamanism- Doc Warr was originally trained as a Wookie shaman not a traditional doctor. His job was to lead his clan in worship, as well as tend to their emotional, spiritual, and physical needs (hence his knowledge of herbology). While his experiences have caused his beliefs to evolve into a more pragmatic form, he still remains true to his warrior ideals.

Obligations

+10- Family- Doc and his daughter have through a series of traumas. First having their home village of Hwaa burned to the ground on Kashyyyk with the majority of their clan being killed in the fire (including Doc's wife and infant son). Then they were taken by Trandoshan slavers into Hutt slavery where they remained for several years. Finally free of the Hutts, they have settled away from Kashyyyk and the painful memories there. Doc is intent on giving his daughter the best life, which in his mind means free and relatively safe from harm.

+10- Business/Community - Doc is the primary physician in these parts due to the intense scarcity of physicians in the Outer Rim. He works to give the best care he can with the resources that are available to him. Though he is a grizzled middle-aged wookie with occasionally bad bedside manner, he has begun to make connections in the community and while he has no "life debts" here, he has proven himself to be fiercely protective and loyal to it's members.

Description

Doc is middle aged (for a wookie, around 60-70 years old) ), white furred, blue eyed wookie. Doc isn’t the largest wookie in the galaxy (only 2.35m/7.5 ft tall), but nonetheless he is a wookie so he tends to edge out other beings in height/ strength. He is completely white with intense blue eyes. Typically he wears a green sash that signifies his role as shaman. He has a large gash near his rt. eye from a whipping received in slavery.

Both Doc and his daughter understand Basic and Huttese, but relies on his droids for translation
