Davin was born on the world of Mandalore. But at a young age, his family forswore the creeds of the Mandalorians and left, heading to Corellia for a while. There they lived until he was old enough to leave and work on his own. He quickly became a fighter of no little skill, and was drafted into the service of several forces. Then during the Galactic Civil War, he avoided all trouble by joining Voren Barrett. Barrett found him on one of his jobs, and invited him to join his crew, Barrett's Privateers. Davin accepted, and then Barrett revealed that he was just starting a crew, and that Davin was the first member. After that, Davin became Barrett's right hand man, and helped build the group from the ground up. They fought in different liberation conflicts, and soon Barrett trusted him implicitly. In fact, Barrett was about to send Davin to build another crew, and continue the work seperately, when he was killed. So, instead, by unanimous vote, Davin just took over leadership of the Privateers. He started to find jobs, but while searching through Barrett's notes, he found a note saying that the old man had wanted to go to Mimban. So he contacted the Mimbanese Liberation Army, who had heard of Barrett's Privateers, and asked them if they wanted help. They accepted, and he took the crew to Mimban.
