Background

Sips, originally called "Zips" because of his love for zip-lining, was an ARC Trooper serving as a Lieutenant in the 104th Battalion under the command of Jedi General Plo Koon and Clone Commander Wolffe. Created with greater independence compared to typical clones, he was deployed as part of an ARC Trooper team that fought in urban centers as shock infantry. On one assignment, he befriended a child who helped guide his team through the city. The child kept mispronouncing his name as "Sips" and it caught on with his squad, becoming his new nickname.

As the war came to a close, Sips' team was deployed to Raxus, the Separatist capital. The command came through to execute Order 66 and Sips' team was put to work hunting down their Jedi commanders. The aftermath on Raxus was as bloody as the long siege. The Jedi were taken by surprise but they dispersed throughout the city, prolonging the battle into a vicious and indiscriminate three-way. The battle and the war ended and the Republic was no more, and with the bloodbath fresh in mind and his loyalties shaken, Sips abandoned the Imperial army within a month of the Declaration of the New Order. He had sworn an oath to the Republic and that is where his loyalties remained, despite the urges of his programming.

10 Betrayal - Sips deserted the Grand Army of the Republic shortly after Order 66, leaving behind his team who continue to serve the Empire as purge troopers.
