Background

Born and raised on Eriadu, Garan Stazi learned to fly at an early age piloting ore carriers out of the planet's mines, and later becoming an Imperial diplomatic shuttle pilot. Despite this, he has always despised the Empire, witnessing first had the iron fisted rule imposed upon his family and neighbors.

With a desire to leave the darkness of the empire behind, Garan lucked out when his piloting skills were noticed by a visiting Governor from Cantonica, the resort planet. The Governor always had an eye out for new pilots to fly in the heavily wagered Skyhopper races at the planet's exclusive casino in Canto Bight. Winning frequently, Garan became a favorite to bet on by Inter-Galactic high rollers. That is until his hopper was forced into the rails by a rival pilot. The crash cost Garan his arm, and his career. He now drifts through the outer rim taking high risk jobs piloting stolen starcraft from dealers to buyers.

Motivation

Despite now working in a shady, black market trade, Garan's heart is true and good. He still holds the dream of one day fighting the Empire in an Rebel X-Wing. Though he knows the longer he stays in his current profession, the harder it will be to break its bonds.

Obligations

Bounty 10: The night of his fateful Skyhopper crash, professional gambler Brushaun had wagered a reckless amount of credits with rival Ronen Tagge on Garan to win. Convinced he purposely scuttled his ship in collusion with Tagge, Brushaun placed a bounty on Stazi. So far, Garan's skill in the cockpit has kept him alive, but waking up tomorrow is never a guarantee.

Favor 10: Garan's job moving stolen starcraft requires some delicate relationships. There are several Imperial governors, local warlords, and even a Rebel General or two that "look the other way" in turn for the occasional favor.
