Vance grew up in the lap of luxury in the galactic core. He learned to talk his way through things rather than confront them head on. Always adventurous, and the youngest sibling, he was often under-supervised and managed to get into trouble. Still, growing up he enjoyed the privilege and freedom that came with being part of a rich and powerful family. His father, Vince was a business tycoon and senator, his mother Rose a socialite, and his older siblings Vince Jr and Veronica help run the business, and his younger sister

He respected Mar Laren, his father's advisor, head negotiator, and Vance's tutor. Mar often encouraged Vance to enjoy his little side adventures, and found ways to turn any situation into a lesson. Mar encouraged Vance to set out and experience the world far away from the Core, which lead him to head to the Outer Rim.

Since he has learned he is force sensitive, he has been trying to take things more seriously. He has attempted to reach out to anyone he has been able to determine is strong with the Force, and learn what he can. For the first time it’s not just some new power to help him have fun with, and it’s brought a new purpose to his life.
