Motivation
When given an order from his superiors, Orvus carries it out. His determination to complete his objective drives him forward, for to fail carrying out his order is a blow to not only himself but the Empire.

Support
While Orvus learned from being under Thrawn's command that strategy is a fine tool that should be in any commanding officer's arsenal, keeping soldiers in high morale is crucial to any victory. Thus, Orvus has made it his duty to ensure those under his command are supported by him and, in theory, are much more effective combatants as a result. While still maintaining his commanding presence as it were, Orvus takes his time to treat his soldiers with the respect they feel they deserve. He takes his time to listen to their troubles he learns their stories, he learns their strengths, he learns where they will be the most effective. A well-oiled Imperial machine is the duty Orvus has taken upon himself.
