Background

Kil'Raarka Yuboorr, is known as "Kill-Rawr", by most non-Wookiee's who know him. His master Loybos the Hutt, refers to him as "The Half-Wookiee" not because he is genetically half Wookiee, but because his unique upbringing means he never got fully acclimated to the Wookiee culture. No one else dares call him that, for fear of having their arms ripped off.

Kil'Raarka was born in an Imperial slave camp that worked on the construction of the first Death Star, where he was raised by his parents. However, they were sent to work on the second Death Star, where they died in it's destruction, and Kil'Raarka remained behind. There were other Wookiee's at the camp, who helped to raise him, but the Imperials systemically isolated him as part of an experiment. Wookiee's born in the labor camps were incredibly rare, so the Imperials wanted to see what would happen if he was isolated from Wookiee culture. Of course this plan was interrupted by the fall of The Empire.

As the Empire's power faded, Kil'Raarka and the other slaves broke free from the camp but with no way off the planet were fighting for their survival. Seizing an opportunity to round up the Empire's leftover slaves Loybos the Hutt picked up Kil'Raarka and many others to enslave at his palace. Most of the other Wookiees Loybos sold fairly quickly, but he held onto the young Kil'Raarka. Again, Kil'Raarka was isolated from his own people and was forced to fend for himself or accept the kindness of those who had any within the palace of a Hutt.

Years passed and Kil'Raarka had continued to be enslaved by Loybos, but he'd found some favor in his "service". When a certain trandoshan bounty hunter crossed Loybos and attacked him, it was Kil'Raarka who first pulled the reptile off of his master, possibly saving his life. As a reward for his "heroic" deed Loybos gave Kil'Raarka two gifts. The first and most important was a chance to buy his freedom, this of course meant that he was simply indebted to the Hutt and working for him in a different way. Still it was preferable and almost unheard of for a slave. Secondly, Loybos gave Kil'Raarka an old bowcaster that he'd accumulated long ago to use as he started his career. Kil'Raarka started tracking down bounties to start paying his debt, and soon enough found himself working with a semi regular crew of misfits with their own baggage...

Motivation

Ambition - Freedom
Practically, Kil'Raarka is trying to earn his freedom from the slavery and service to Loybos the Hutt. In reality he has never known freedom, nor does he understand what to expect if he ever got it. As much a part of his ambition is his actual freedom as is gaining an understanding of what freedom truly is.

Obligations

15 Obligation - Debt: Loybos the Hutt has given Kil'Raarka the opportunity to earn his freedom from slavery. That is of course just another way of saying that he serves the Hutt in a different way, but is still bound to his master. Kil'Raarka intends to pay off that debt however, and earn his true freedom.

Description

Kil'Raarka is big, even for a Wookiee, standing at 8 feet tall and just over 300 pounds he is an intimidating sight. His fur is characteristically brown with streaks of white and black, and his eyes are chocolate brown, almost deep enough to be black. A utility belt around his waist and a reptilian skinned cape that hangs over his shoulders and ends at his knees are his only clothes. He typically carries his bowcaster slung across his back unless "blending in" is of the utmost importance, but that isn't really his style.
