Kapod Tanth was born and raised on Coruscant, the homeworld of the aqualish. Having a relatively poor upbringing, he fell into the mercenary profession, unable to find any other work on-world.

Spending his late teens and early 20s under the employ of a small mercenary company known as the Crimson Fangs. At the height of the Galactic Civil War, the Fangs entered into a contract with the Rebel Alliance. The decision was unpopular with many in in the company. The risks of being found to have worked with the Alliance was too great for some and those members quit, but Kapod stuck with the company, harbouring little love for the Empire. Plus the job paid very well, which didn't hurt either.

During that time, Kapod worked closely with an Alliance soldier and fellow aqualish named Senka. Kapod would spend much of his free time with her, the two of them becoming fast friends and, shortly after that, lovers. Senka convinced Kapod to leave the life of a mercenary and put his skills to better use fighting against the Empire.
Kapod amicably left the Crimson Fangs, becoming a soldier in the Rebel army. Kapod and Senka's union eventually resulted in twins, a boy and a girl named Jervaac and Paldari. As the pair were both fighting on the frontlines of the war, they sent the children to live with his brother Ro and his partner for safety.

Things took a dark turn, however, towards the end of the war. A few months after the destruction of the second Death Star, what was left of the Empire launched a desperate strike on the base the pair were living on. Kapod was out with his squad, but Senka was in the base at the time and was tragically killed. Distraught from her loss, Kapod returned back to the newly liberated Coruscant to explain to his young children what happened.

In the years afterwards, Kapod tried to financially support his children but found that jobs were hard to come by on Coruscant. The Imperials may be gone, but the economic hardships still remained. Recently he decided to get in contact with one of his old Crimson Fang buddies, searching for work. The Fangs had since broken up, but his friend told him that a regular client of theirs, Chalupa the Hutt, was searching for new blood.

Family 10 - Kapod has 2 twin 6 year olds named Jervaac (M) and Paldari (F). They live with his brother, Ro, on Ando. Kapod returned to the mercenary life to financially support them, unable to find more honest work in the wake of the Empire's collapse.
