Background
Maquma Zahn was born a colony on Vorsen. He has spent his entire life in the jungles foraging for the community. His little formal education has come primarily from his parents with a bit of additional learning from the other adults in the colony. When the Jedi refugees arrived, Maquma knew this was his chance to learn about the rest of the galaxy and possibly learn more about himself in the process. He bid a tearful goodbye to his friends and family and joined the group as a guide to the starport on the planet.

Exceedingly rare by the time of the Empire, this strictly regulated crystal sometimes appear in such a pure state that it can be used in a lightsaber. The blade produced by this crystal is all but silent and the edge of the energy blade seems blurred.
Base Modifiers: Installing this crystal changes a lightsaber’s base damage to 7 and critical rating to 3, and the lightsaber gains the Breach 1 and Sunder weapon qualities. Additionally an attuned wielder of the lightsaber receives Sleight of Mind +1. If the crystal is removed, the lightsaber loses those qualities and reverts to its previous base damage and critical rating.
Modifications: 1 Damage +1 Mod, 2 Decrease the weapon’s critical rating by 1 to a minimum of 1 Mod, 1 Innate talent (Sleight of Mind +1) Mod.
