Background
Coruscant was the ideal place to be, was it not? Who wouldn't want to see a thriving metropolis right outside of their window as they attended the best school and learned the life of luxury. Well, certainly Xaranthria had everything she could have wanted. Life was easy for the young girl. She was, of course, the superior race as her mother would often remind her as she was told to hold her head a bit higher. Her father would remind her that she would be an asset to the republic one day as she had "skills unmatched".
Honestly? The words went in one ear and out the other. Life was easy there. Bustling, but easy. As she grew in age so did the impending threat of war and rebellion. Mostly talks though...right?
If her parents weren't rich before, suddenly money was pouring in from every orifice she could see. It didn't take long for her to figure out that they had a hand in some sort of trading in good for a war.
Xara didn't really care. Why would she? She was loving every second of learning how to be a pilot. She had dreams of seeing the world and getting to explore. Maybe they would even get her to help with some missions, helping the republic. Imagine the prestige she could bring her family! Alas, all childish dreams die with their innocence one day.
Overhearing a conversation not meant for eavesdropping girls, Xara learned the truth. She was going to be a weapon. She was being trained. She would make them money. She would take over the family business. A business she wanted no part of. That night, set in conviction she stole a ship and left. How the hell she managed to get out was beyond her, but she wasn't dumb. Money talked and she had things to say, and well, paying some people off to shut up wasn't so bad either...She wasn't proud of it, but she was ready to do what she wanted to do. She had to see for herself what was really out there. Who was really the bad guy here?
Hell, maybe she would learn her parents were right and this was all some big misunderstanding. Apparently, her parents didn't get the memo. Whether they knew she ran away or not was beyond her, but they wanted her home. Bounties started showing up for the missing girl. Thank goodness it never really said what she did.
So, she did the only thing that made sense. Really dramatically play up the fact that she has a bounty. Come on, it made her look daring and someone to be feared. So here she was, running through the galaxy pretending to be a scoundrel...when in reality...she was a republic kid with no real direction except the conviction in her heart.
Motivation
Freedom & Truth: Wanting to learn what was really out there. What was the truth about this "war" and this "rebellion" that there were whisperings of? She didn't need to be a caged bird anymore.
