On Vukte's 15th birthday she set out to slay a krayt dragon and bring back it's stomach pearl as her rite of passage into adulthood. While away, her clan's lore keeper had died before choosing a successor. Sticking to tradition, the clan killed itself in combat for Vukte to find upon her return. Alone with the exception of her bantha, Vukte lived a nomadic life until she came across a group of jawas. After saving the jawas from a hungry krayt dragon she was adopted into the group.

Over the years Vukte learned about trading, scavenging and even picked up on how to speak basic. She mostly served as the protector and hunter of her new clan- as well as the occasional bouncer against hostile customers.
